My little big man!
Tiberius Allen Brown is my Grandson, as you well know.Well, that is if you have been following my blog. If not, you are reading about him now. He is 13 monthhs old soon to be 14 months. He is the apple of my eye. It is very hard for me to be strict with him. H e looks me straight in the eye all the while I am saying no. As I am saying no he is doing whatever it may be that I was trying to keep him from. While I am looking eye to eye with him I have to keep from smiling which
is quite difficult. He is so little yet so determined, it is amazing! One of the pictures I am putting on here is of him with his dog Bama. She loves him so much, but she is way to strong for him to play with her. So petting is ok for now.
Ti thinks he is a lot bigger than he really is, as you can se he is trying to hold this piece of pipe with one hand. I realize that it is aluminum but look how long it is. He is such a little stinker. Any how he is Howard and my only grandchild so far. Yes he is a little spoiled, but not in a bad way.
This other picture is of him a couple of months ago when he decided to try to wear his daddys shoes, oh yes before he got his first hair cut, which I really still can't totally get use to.
So thats about it for today Be happy and blessed, tell someone how much you care.

Back on!
Well, as you have noticed, I haven't written anything in over a week. I had a little touch of pneumonia and was not feeling very well. I am well on the way to being my old self. The weather is not bad here, 63 degrees out at 4:30 in the evening. It is supposed to drop to about 36 degrees tonight. I guess I cannot complain, after all its not snowing.
Well as I said I am feeling much better. I found out that My best friend from North NY state lost her husband of 35 yrs. He passed on the 27th.I feel bad for her She is a wonderful person and they were happily married. This is something that you really do not find very often. The divorce rate is horrible. So once again if you are reading this, Cheri I am thinking about you and your family and praying that you can get through this with the thought that Denny is smiling at you.
This opens up a subject that I would like to talk about Howard and I are married common law. Both he and I have been married to others before and they were not good. This is working for us very well. 6years so far, we have not had any arguments, I think this is much better and the state of Alabama considers it the same as legally married. So yes we are together.
Next subject, Do any of you know where I can download a copy of blueprints for making solar pannels for saving electricity? If you know how or where, send it to my email jodie13679@hotmail.com Thank you. So thats about it for today be happy and blessed. Jodie Oh yes check out Howards blog, http://jodie-fyifromjodiesstuff.blogspot.com He gets going on everything and everybody (smile)

January 23rd,2012
This month is flying by. I am very happy it is for a few reasons, I can't wait until it is warm enough to swim, and I can't wait until all of the flowers are in bloom. I mean we have all kinds of blooming bushes and trees. Though we do have some of the trees that shed their leaves, but in a couple of months or less they start growing them right back. Mostly everything stays green, but you can tell the difference. But for me, I am a warm weather person. It is 78 here today and raining off and on. But that's still not snow! When I think about it like that, I feel ok with the rain.(smile)
Well my other half seems to have a stomach bug, he is in bed trying to get over it. I pitty him on that , I hate stomach cramps,I had some the other day but they didn't last too long. But I have had a bug for a couple of weeks,Head and chest cold, been trying to get over it without going to the hospital. So far so good. Lots of vitamins, good food, mucinex chest congestion pills plus sinus meds to keep head clear. It is working but very slowley. I can recommend the mucinex dm they are fantastic. You can buy them without a prescription, and they really work. I have had pneumonia more than 9 times in my life time. So I know what I am talking about. Because I have diabeties and COPD, my immunity is compromised so if someone with a little cold so much as clears their throat I will catch whatever they have. Which is why I very careful in public, and sometimes just stay home. I hate going to the doctors office cuz I usually end up sick. So I am trying to lose a lot of weight, hoping it will help my breathing which the doctors think it will.Hopefully when I can move around better I will be able to build my immunity back up. So this is what is going on and Howard is such a wonderful help, plus he has so many patiencs with me. Couldn't do it with any other man, He is very special, like my Mom said Better keep him, cuz he is a keeper. Thank you again, you are a Keeper ... Be happy and Blessed and give your special someone a hug and let them know how much they mean to you.
This is my Keeper.

We are on the downside now!
Winter is almost over down here in alabama...I am thinking that maybe 3 more weeks and we will be on the way to a beautiful quick spring and straight to summer. I am very anxious. This will be a great summer. Our grandson is 13 months old, so he can actually play and also we have our pool already up and all we need to do is get in.( will be a fun summer). lots of family cookouts and swimming,etc... I am surprised, each time I see Ty. he is bigger and cuter than he was before! I have to say one thing though< he is exactly like his Daddy.A very happy , mischievous child...He will do something that you tell him not to do and stand there looks straight at you, looking straight in your eyes, and does whatever it is that he isn't suppose to do.I slapped his little hand and he just smiled at me and continued, I gave him a little pop on the butt , but his diaper felt it not him.
I telling you he is stubborn. like his Daddy was and still is. Ah, but I did finally win.
I find myself looking at toddler toys when I go to the department stores. gosh I haven't done this in very long time, and to tell you the truth, I really do like it. I am totally amazed at the new types of toys for little children. Toddlers of today are so far advanced from what they were 40 years ago when my oldest was one. Tiberius figures things out quite quickly. Such as the Mustang car he learned the buttons on top of it and which ones make it go forward and backward plus the lights and sound. I really am enjoying watching Tiberius grow. I was so happy last night when Tina came through the door carrying him,as soon as he saw Howard, his arms went out and a big take me smile was all over his face. I think it is good for Ty when he is here, we have a fairly placid environment. The only time there is any loud voices its usually laughter or Howard or me calling to each other. So yes, I really believe we are a good influence on his little world.
Well thats about it for today be happy and blessed. Jodie

What a difference!
I am rewriting this , I wrote it on the wrong blog page. Ok here goes: I moved here to Alabama from Northern New York state 6 years ago.In these 6 years I have gone back twice to visit my oldest son Robert and my sister Judy, and all my friends. Not a lot has changed up there except that Watertown has added some streets and expanded. Other than that I saw no difference, same people, children have grown and are no longer toddlers and some elders have passed away, new babies born.
They are still trying to keep up with their bills, it is a battle because they have cold weather for about 6 months a year. Thats a lot of fuel being bought to heat their homes and drive their cars.
I moved south for 2 reasons, 1. I have copd and have a lot of trouble with my lungs. It is much easier for me to breath when it is warm or even hot. Cold weather shuts me down. 2 I was a widow since 2004, and I met Howard, online and we talked for 1 year, I knew or rather suspected that he was a special man, I was right. I came south to spemd Christmas with 2 of my sons and met Howard in person. We have been together for 6 going into 7 years. We have never had any,not even one argument, instead of being stupid we talk things over. It actually works,it is great.
Since I moved down here I have seen what a difference it is from N. New York. The people are friendly. When you go into a business whether it be a store, or resturante , or maybe a doctors office, they greet you with a "HEY HOW YALL DOING TODAY?" Also the clerks at the grocery stores act like they know you. Plus, the other customers are like old friends, and if you only have 1 or 2 items they will push you up ahead of them. I tell my sister its like going back in time to the 60's. I love it, and the beachs are white sand and the Gulf coast is awesome. If anyone is looking for a great place to love, I recommend Alabama. Be happy and blessed. Jodie

Go Big or Go Home!
I have heard and used above expression a lot. I am one of these people who do not have a gray area. I am obsessed with whatever I am doing or buying.its either one way or the other,as I have said there is no happy medium.when my sister called me last night to, tell me that they have received 10 inches of snow on top of a layer of ice, sure made me think anout the way things usually go with me. all at once or none at all. Now where we live in Alabama, we are just a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Durring the spring, summer, and fall it gets hot and I like that, better when it is in the 90's . I haveCOPD when it is hot I breath much better. However, when it is winter, which we do get a small amount of cold weather, this bothers my breathing. There it is either hot or cold not warm, not luke warm! Also I had a kennel of AKC registered German shepherd dogs, 8 females and 1 male. They were even tempered, show quality dogs. My husband got our son a long haired Chihuahua puppy. There you go very small compared to German shepherds. Then later in my life , after I was done with the shepherds, which I never should have quit. I bought a Great dane, he was listed as harlaquin but he had blue merle patches on both eyes and ears and one on the top of his tail. The rest was snow white. He was 6 months old AKC registered. We went to the Reservation in Hogansburg and bought him for 75 dollars. When we looked at him , my husband wanted to leave , the dog was very skinny and tied to the livingroom floor with a 21/2 foot chain. Now I was not about to leave him there. I gave the guy 75 dollars , he signed the paper to me and we were out of there. My husband was shaking his head and said he hoped I knew what I was doing. I sure did, he turned out to be a great family dog, he loved my kids. He slept with my son Jay, infact, every night you would hear either Jay or Thor fall out of the bed. I just laughed because they were alright, it wasn't a bunk bed so it wasn't a big drop. But anyhow, my obsessive self was not limited to my animals. It was with everything. When I go shopping, if there is a good price on an item, I always seem to go overboard and buy an ezcessive amount, this could be anything, it doesn't matter. So I guess I have gone on with this long enough. Be happy and blessed.

Did I hear someone say snow?
Not down here in the south, up in Northern New York state, where I lived for many years...I heard that they started with an ice storm which turned to snow. Thats not good, means snow covered ice! sure hope everyone who is able does take a snow day and stays home. Also I hope any power outages are fixed quickly. Be sure to check on the elderly as well as people with children. Oh, just everyone check on your neighbors, take care of each other. I been there a few times myself. I was very fortunate to have so any people who cared. In fact the Redwood volunteer Fire dept came to my house every 4 hours with a small generator, so I could use my nebulizer. They were fantastic! I believe they still have a picture of my son Chris. He was helping them take supplies to others outside of town. Everyone helped each other. That was durring an ice storm that knocked the power out for 3 weeks can you belive that?.We were lucky, we had a woodstove and a kerrosine heater. At least stayed warm and could cook food. With it being winter we didn't lose any food because, we just put the food from freezer, out in the mud room, for all who have never heard that expression the back room where you took off your coats and boots where you whipe your feet and hang your coats. (smile) The food stayed frozen. Well we all survived and I have since moved south 20 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico, which is In Alabama. I a happy to not have snow. I wish all my northern friends and family all the best, and hope they are alright. They have our prayers. I will see you all this coming summer when there is no chance of snow. Be warm, happy, and well blessed.

Hair cut!
(
My son cut my grandson's hair, Neither I nor his other grandmother are very happy about it... He doesn't look like a baby now, we are not ready for him to be a little boy yet, he is only 13 months old!!! He has such nice hair, and it is cut off! I know it will grow back. But I know Chris and he will cut it again, In the summer I can understand, we have very hot weather in the summer, but not this time of the year.
Well Howard made a delicious turkey stew tonight, it was soooo yummy! I truly am a very lucky woman, to have a guy who treats me like a queen and cooks like a royal chef. I'm keeping him for good...(smile) Well that's about it for today, be happy and blessed..

Knew better!
I did something really stupid 2 days ago. I gave my American Eskimo, Justice to much table scraps and he got very ill. I know better than to give him anything other than maybe a little meat in with his dog food ,and at that not much. It was a very stupid thing that could have been fatal. But for the grace of God...As it was if I hadn't had my kennel years ago I wouldn't have been able to have taken care of him and he would have died. He is fine now, but for a while I was getting ready to rush him to the vet, except it was Sunday and no one is open. He turned it around late Sunday night, when he got up and ate some of the crushed ice and kept it down, then later he tried a little baby rice cereal, that stayed down. I knew he was ok then and I was thanking God, I love my little guy. He saved me from a fire once , he has a natural ability to sence when my blood sugar is not right. he will bark at me until I check it. Then he leaves me alone. He actually is a service dog by nature , he was never trained for it, and I have had him since he was 5 weeks old.
He is what they call a Spitz. He is really pretty but he is going to be 7 in August, and he can be very spiteful, and snippy. Not so much with me but with everyone else, He loves Howard and Sparky, But he has his moments with them too. He is my dog he chose me , when I got him there were 4 puppies I got on the floor and he was the one that chose me , he climbed up on my lap and started licking my chin. So I couldn't do anything but take him and we have been together ever since. We have traveled from New York state way up by the Canadian border to Florida then to Alabama where we have lived for 6 years, he and I have gone back to visit, he is a great traveling companion, I can stop at a rest area and take a little nap and not worry, because if anyone comes near my car he is like an alarm, and he has no fear.
My next blog will be the continuation of my life, couldn't do it today. Be happy and blessed

Hello again!
I see my other half has been entertaining all of you on the other blog, and yes he is telling you his story which is true. So for any of you who haven't seen it , check it out. http:jodie_fyifromjodiesstuff.blogspot.com We have 2 blogs going here and another one, but we do not use that one too often. But soon we will be useing that one as much as this. Howards life is much more worldly than mine. Most of my stuff is adventures I had as a child and while growing up, then as a mother of 3 sons.
It all started out on April 23rd 1950, this little infant decided to be 2 months early. Thats me, never on time I have always been either early or late. Needless to say I spent a month in an incubator so I could finish growing the parts that I had to have in the big outside world. Well even though I was small I was ready for anything. From what my parents told me I was out of my crib at 6 months, I pulled myself up and toppled out onto the floor. From then on Mom had a hard time puting me to bed. I was walking by 7months old and then came the climbing nothing was safe from me. My Mother told of my climbing onto a kitchen chair that was sitting next to our refrigerator and then onto the counter and sitting there and eatting a ponmd of butter. And yes this was at 7 months. I asked if I got sick and she answered no i was fine..and that was just some of the stuff I did durring my first year. Oh yes there was the litle thing about finding one of Moms hair pins and sticking it in the electrical outlet. She said I sailed half way across the livingroom. Plus all ash trays had to be emptied before I could get to them because I had a thing about the sulfer on the burned matches , drove Mom crazy, as soon as I found a used match it was in my mouth. Oh yes she had her hands full with me. So I have started this and it will be continued from day to day...Be blessed and Happy.

January 2nd 2012
Happy New Year everyone! Well we have made it to 2012. What do you think about that? I for one, didn't have a doubt in my mind that we would make it. I also feel the same way about the great prediction for Dec 21, 2012. We may have some big event happen, but I really do not think the earth will be destroyed. I believe that the Mayans, ended their Calendar at that date, but maybe there was some reason why they did not go farther, I do not believe it was because that is when the earth will cease to be. Oh well, enough of this, save it for the end of this year, we have quite a few days to go (smile).
How was your New Years day? Ours was nice and quiet. We really do have a relaxed life most of the time. We have never had an argument, If there is something on either one of our minds we talk about it, and you know what, it really works! The thing about comunication being a lot of the problems with relationships is true. No one thinks, they just start shouting and it escalates into a full blown storm of hurtfull shouting match. Thats not really love. If you really love someone you do not want to jurt them, you want to protect the from any kind of harm, physical or verbal. Think about that the next time an argument begins. Just maybe it might help you to avoid the shouting and start talking.
Well, it is cold tonight, it is suposed to drop to 28 degrees F. That is cold!I have a nice fire going in the fireplace, plus the furnace runs now and then. Hope you all are warm where ever you are. Be happy and blessed.
