Being a Grandma is so much fun!

   Our Grandson Tiberius is 2 yrs. and 6 months old. He looks and acts much older.  My son Chris and Daughter-in-law brought Ty over for a fun day in our pool.  It was great it was sunny with just enough clouds to keep us from burning. Ty loves the water, he has the water wings and, to my surprise they actually work. He is learning to swim with them . He figured that if he kicked his feet and moved his arms he could actually go from one side to the other. I laughed so hard when I was watching him because he was in a hurry so he added a movement which was to move his head from side to side at the same time. every part of this little guy was moveing and actually with some speed also. he wore himself out and just laid there  resting so i looked closer and he was tired and almost ready to fall asleep. I told my husband that he was going to go to sleep take him out , Ty looked up at me and said sleepily no  not sleeping.  he he he   it was so cute. So we took him out and he had dinner and went home . It was a very nice family day.Tina and Chris had splash wars and Ty decided it was time for him to have one with me , so he splashed me really well. Everytime his Dad splashed his mom he would splash me.  Howard made dinner with the help of Ty Ty was standing on a chair at the counter helping Grampa. Yes it was a great family day!  Be blessed and spend time with your loved ones..

 Tomorrow is Mother's day. So to all you Mom's out there Happy Mother's day to you! I have 3 sons lol at this point in time only 2 of them are speaking to me. This is nothing new,The middle child seems to be the hardest to please. Nothing is ever right for him.But as long as there is life there is hope. Maybe with a little help from his friends he can fix his life. Well Howard's hip seems to be healing nicely. He has done his blog today,thats a good sign. But between you and I we both have been fighting this pain and not feeling all that great. We have a sense of staying a little distant because we are not feeling very friendly so that we do not have any problems , we are good like that. Yes I have the right man.  If he can get along with me when I am sick and grumpy, he must be very special.  My son Chris has some really cute pit bull puppies. Here is a couple of pictures of them. I would love the one with the white on it but we already have 2 dogs .   There is 2 more I think but they were straying away from the group.  Well thats about it for today  Blessings and Happiness from Jodie in Alabama.

  I told you he would be back with his blog.  I am happy that he is home. Believe it or not he is healing faster than I am I had the shoulder replacement 2 days before he had the hip surgery.He has the constitution of an ox.  I am so very glad he is feeling better.  So our grandson,who is 2 1/2 yrs old has discovered super hero's,but he has everyone with a cape. He runs through the house yelling Spiderman!  has a towel  tied to his back like a cape,. seems everyone knows Spidy doesn't have a cape, except Tiberius,  he insists that he has one. That's just about it for today,except for the fact that my sons puppies are 3 1/2 weeks old and really cute,will put up a picture on next blog!  Be well and Happy, Jodie from Alabama

IS IT A GIFT??? OR IS IT A CURSE?????

      This is a question I have been  asking myself for many years,in fact since my early teens. It started when I was a toddler.  I would know what was going to happen before it happened. One example  that comes to mind was when I was around 3 years of age. I remember sitting at the table  eating breakfast. I looked at my mom and I told her that a boy was going to get hit by a car on the corner infront of our house. She told me to stop telling terrible stories Three days later a boy was hit by a car and I watched it happen from my bedroom window.  My mother  told my dad only that I saw it happen , nothing else . So dad took us to the ice cream shop for cones to get my mind off of what I saw.  I told mom whenever I saw things  she was not happy  about this, Finally when I was an adult she would discuss it with me.  She sat down with me one afternoon and asked me about it, she wanted to know how I saw the visions and everything about it.  We discussed it at length. When we were all finished with it, she told me that she has the same ability. She also had more but she never told me the rest. I am pretty sure I know what it was.
    My problem is that I am not sure if it is a gift or a curse. My other half is physic also and he says I should learn to control it. I have warned a few people of things and they laughed , but came back when it came to pass , saying I will never doubt you again.A few years ago I warned about a car driving threw a stop light and having a collision.Ralph was quick enough to recognize the  intersection and the car I described , He stayed stopped  when the light turned green and the woman flew through the light ,had he gone as soon as the light turned green they would have collided. He came home with our son and they both were all excited .I was just relieved that it was avoided. Ralphed passed away in 2004.But durring our marriage there was a lot of things that happened , such as I saw the house we were to buy ,and drew a picture of it . Sure enough when we decided to move that was the house we bought.I had never been in that town before ever.  My sons had things happen that I had warned them about. The one that sticks with me is  when my youngest son and several of his friends decided to go out.I told them that I saw the car off the road with them behind it pushing. Jen called me to tell me I was right that they had been broke down. They were lucky  someone helped .  After that before they made plans Jen would always ask if I saw anything.
  The visions   happen when I am asleep.It is a picture. I get a picture of whatever it is , not a dream it is just a picture. It can be anything, I had one which was numbers and a  couple of letters. Turned out it was  the tine and date  and initials of a friends aunt who passed that night. it came to ne several hours before she passed,I was talking to my friend the next day and and she told me about her aunt and it all fell in place.  Howard keeps telling me to not be afraid , to develope  this ability. He says it is a gift. I have tried to push it back. He says let it out. Hmmmmmmm! what to do?????

 

FEBRUARY 14,2013

Well I am writing this blog, because unlike my other half, I don't like to hear about the horrible  state of our world. People killing each other and destroying everything that is beautiful, I would much rather write about the lighter side, and put a smile on someones face. My son  bought my grandson a 4 wheeler to ride around the property. Tiberius is only 2 yrs and 2 months old. He looks and acts like he is 3 going on 4. He did very well and both Daddy and Grampa were chasing him all over the acre . He had a ball and picked up on turning did very well, except he has to learn to watch where he is going. :) But for a child his age he did very well.  I am very surprised at the things he has learned in this past 2 yrs. He figures things out before we realize it.  So I really do believe that they should get a lock for the driveway gate if not, he will try to

  drive on the road. He has named his machine Blue. He says daddy go ride Blue?  

  The weather is trying to war up. I really can't complain, we get no snow , it only dropped below freezing  one night and then it was back up in the 50's that next day.  I just like swimming and am anxious for hot  temperatures.   a few more weeks and it should start getting nice and warm.  Some of the flowering bushes are blooming, spring is on its way. Oh yes and the robins are landing in our yard on their way back north, Well here's hoping  where ever you maybe it is quiet and peaceful be blessed and happy.  Jodie

Well it is getting dark a little bit  later each day. So if we could convince Mother nature , maybe she would stop throwing those little cold snaps at us down here in the great south. I am hoping for a hot  summer. Have noticed a lot of the trees are budding out already. I believe we had about 20 or more  robins in our lawn this morning,plus starlings and sparrows.  Our lawn  was virtually covered with  assorted birds.
  Well my Honey has slipped his hip someway. So I am trying to help him as much as I am able. He tries not to complain,but he is in a lot of pain. I have a bum shoulder. So we are always helping each other.But I will tell you this much,he does more helping me than i do him! So I am keeping him  :)
    So I see we have some new TV shows and some returns . Going to some good watching, I believe"Fringe"   is new tonight,"Arthur" is on later tonight."Scandal" was good last night,as well was "Elementary" They were very good.

     Oh yes My son Christopher's mother-in-law fell down the steps on her way to work the other week, she broke her leg in 2 places below the knee and also fractured the ankle on the same leg. She  is laid up and our grandchild Tiberius, who just turned 2 yrs old last month, is so enthused with this.He sits on the foot stool beside her leg an pets it telling everyone Nana has a bobo, yes that's what he calls it. Not a booboo.  So he was upset with something the other day so he gave her a little pat on her bobo and said "now cry!"  Tiberius  is  something else. You never know what he will say or do.He has a giggle attack whenever anyone sneezes. Or if someone has a large burp, it is time for a giggle attack.  It really is very entertaining being a Grandma. The Grandma with the broken leg, is called Nana I, the other Grandma, am called NeeNee.  I donot mind  he named me.His Grandpa over there is PawPaw and he calls his Grandpa over here PoPo.   He is the only Grandchild in either family.He is a little spoiled  but it will be taper off soon.

What is Happening to Our World????

I am deeply saddened and along with the sadness is a burning rage, that this could keep happening to our children!!!!!!!! I am beginning to realize why a lot of people wish to  home school  Their children. Most are safer at home.Home schooling is alright as long as you also find away to socialize your children with other ones of the same age and back round. I know there will be a lot of strange things going on Friday the 21st  . Many people who are panicking about the " end " of times supposed to be happening at that time.  I  do not believe this. There has been many of these predictions., each one  was wrong. I was a student during one of these  such times, in fact I faked being sick so i could stay home. Around lunch time I came down from my room and asked my mom what she was making , she looked at me and said something about a fast recovery,well then I told her.She snickered and went  to the kitchen and made soup and sandwich .When she came back to eat with me and have a talk about this   whole idea,she opened the window up  and asked if I had ever seen a prettier day?  So my mom has passed a couple of years ago, I only hope I can relay this message to my children and Grand son. like my Mom did for me those many years ago. Have a nice day and I know you will be having a week or 2 off for Christmas.During this season be kind to each other, especially your Moms and Grand moms, After all they are the ones who make this day a success!
